On your typical project, designers and engineers create a plan and it falls on the construction teams to put the plan into action. In the ideal situation, everything should go as planned. But experience has shown us that plans are never perfect and the team has to improvise on the fly. These feedback cycles and plan changes cause delays that end up costing time and money.

We identify budget and problems upfront...

BOLD looks for budget and constructibility issues first. We practice this model each day and promote a collaborative process among the general contractor, owner, architects, and other subcontractors.

BOLD personnel assist before and during the design development phase, with project budgeting in the conceptual stage.

Using our cost database and our skilled personnel, we produce extremely accurate cost estimates early in the process. Our team reviews plans and specifications in search of excessive costs and opportunities for design improvements. While performing value engineering, we identify any design and/or construction methods that improve the economics of the project and make appropriate recommendations to the project team.

Fire And Smoke Control Design

BOLD specializes in designing approved fire alarm, life safety, and smoke control drawings, consistently meeting or exceeding project schedules. We have a proven track record in multiple cities, gaining first-submittal approvals from both smoke control special inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Space Planning Design

When BOLD is engaged for comprehensive low voltage design, we collaborate with the owner, architect, and electrical team to identify and allocate sufficient space for all systems. Throughout the design process, we closely coordinate with the electrical engineer to guarantee that electrical drawings encompass all necessary low voltage pathways.
